The Australian Federal Police is looking at what options are available for them to work with the Fiji Police Force to combat the drug trade in Fiji and the region.

AFP Commissioner Andrew Colvin says illicit narcotics and transnational crimes is a big issue for Australia and the region.
Colvin says their aim is to reduce the supply of illicit drugs in the region.
Colvin says sharing intelligence is key to working together.
He adds that most of the drugs that pass through this part of the region is meant for Australia and it is their duty to help curb the issue.
Colvin was in the country for a day and met Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho.
