Fiji National University’s Acting Vice Chancellor Professor James Pounder says Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was suitably impressed with the developments in the partnership between Australia Pacific Training Coalition and FNU.
Professor Pounder says there is tremendous potential for more collaboration in the future in terms of resources and joint programs which will benefit both organisations.
Morrison commended FNU for its partnership with the Australia Pacific Training Coalition in their effort to provide training and education to upskill people in the Pacific.
He made the comments when he visited FNU’s Derrick Campus yesterday to meet with APTC students undertaking a Refrigeration and Air‑Conditioning training course.
FNU and APTC have a working partnership which allows APTC to conduct specialized short course training in designated workshops.
The Australian Prime Minister was in the country for two days for a bilateral meeting between Fiji’s Prime Minster Voreqe Bainimarama and has left the country yesterday after the completion of his trip.
