Aust Citizens Workers Scheme agreement still in process-Konrote

The Ministry for Labour and Employment is still in the process of finalising the Australian Citizens Workers Scheme agreement with the Australian Authorities.

Employment Minister Jioji Konrote said they are still trying to get the agreement and arrangement finalised with the Australia High Commission to Fiji.

Konrote had earlier said that 70 people who were not selected for the New Zealand Recognized Seasonal Employer Workers Scheme are expected to be utilised for employment in Australia when work opportunities come up.

Konrote said they are hopeful of selecting people to go and work in Australia.
