Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says a lot of politicians are not speaking the truth and that this has become evident in the media now.
While speaking at the prefects' induction at Naqali District School, Sayed-Khaiyum says people should not just lie to get votes during the elections.
Sayed-Khaiyum is yet to comment on some politicians making allegations against the FijiFirst and the Prime Minister and Attorney General in social media.
Meanwhile, the two students that have been chosen to lead the prefects of Naqali District School have vowed to ensure that students in the school respect teachers and themselves.
Head Boy Josua Veikoso and Head Girl Cema Boteivania say they saw different issues like truancy, peer pressure and even bullying last year when they were prefects.
The two say they hope to deal with issues this year with the help of other prefects.

They say that dealing with these issues will also be a challenge as most of the students are from the same village but they are hopeful that they will be able to create change before they leave the school this year.
34 students of Naqali District School were inducted as prefects today.
They also include kindergarten prefects.
