The General Secretary of the Fiji Islands Council of Trade Unions Attar Singh says he will file a complaint with the International Labour Organization regarding his detention by the Police over the weekend.
Singh says he should not have been taken in.
When asked by Fijivillage on the alleged inciteful comments and whether it was a union related meeting, Singh says he has done nothing wrong.
Meanwhile National Federation Party President Tupou Draunidalo says the party believes that NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad can attend any meeting and he has done nothing wrong.
Police had said in a statement that this is a Police process conducted when information is received about possible issues that could affect the safety and security of all Fijians.
Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the step was taken merely to eliminate all doubts and concerns.
