Assessors find two former Corrections officers charged with alleged rape not guilty

The two former Corrections officers charged with allegedly raping a female Corrections officer have been found not guilty by all the three assessors in the trial.
The assessors returned with the not guilty opinion in the Suva High Court.
The two former Corrections Officers allegedly raped the 26‑year‑old female Corrections officer on 18th September 2015.
Ratu Meli Vatureba and Nasoni Kaburau are each facing one count of rape.
High Court Judge Justice Vinsent Perera will deliver his judgement at 12.30pm today.
