Areas in Wainadoi currently being affected by flood waters

Reports have been received by the Wainadoi Police Post that areas in Wainadoi are currently being affected by flood waters.

Police have also confirmed that they have received reports that the water level is rising as the rain continues to pour heavily in the area.

A resident of Wainadoi village has confirmed to Fijivillage that flood waters had entered a few houses from 3am this morning.

Police are advising members of the public to take the necessary precautions.

Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather Office has confirmed that a trough of low pressure with associated cloud, rain and thunderstorms is expected to affect the group till Friday.
