Family violence and the challenges women face in the region is the focus for the three day Annual Pacific Women’s Parliamentarian Forum.
Over 30 women parliamentarians from the Pacific and 21 from the Australian and New Zealand parliament will converge at the Novotel Hotel, Lami for the forum tomorrow.
The event is being hosted by the Speaker of Parliament, Dr Jiko Luveni and for the first time ever, male parliamentarians will be part of the forum which includes four Speakers of Parliament.
Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama will be the Chief Guest.
Discussions will focus on legislation, regulations in the region, understanding data and reliable research that will assist Governments deal with the issue of violence.
