An alleged student assault case involving a Year 1 student at a primary school in Savusavu is being investigated by Police.
Two Year 8 students are alleged to have assaulted the 6-year-old boy yesterday.
The Year 1 student sustained serious injuries and was admitted at the hospital after the incident.
The family of the 6-year-old boy filed an official report at the Savusavu Police Station today calling the incident an extreme case of bullying.
Police officers also spoke to the Year 1 student this morning.
Police confirm that a report was filed at the Savusavu Police Station.
The school says it is aware of the incident and is in the process of informing the Education Officer in Savusavu.
It says the incident did not happen in the school.
