The first accused in the trial of two former Corrections Officers has told the Suva High Court that the alleged rape victim never stopped him when they were having sex.
During cross examination by State Counsel Juleen Fatiaki, the first accused Ratu Meli Vatureba was asked if he took advantage of the alleged rape victim knowing full well that she could not give her consent.
Vatureba said that they had sex because she was asking.
The first accused also said that she never tried to push him away.
The two former Corrections Officers allegedly raped the 26-year-old female Corrections officer on 17th September 2015.
Ratu Meli Vatureba and Nasoni Kaburau are each facing one count of rape.
