Drivers in the Police Force have been reminded about the warning issued by the Commissioner of Police in regards to Police vehicles and all drivers are being urged to be more responsible while driving.

While speaking to officers in the Western Division at his first official vehicle inspection at Namaka Police Station, Divisional Police Commander SSP Marika Kotoisuva says that it is his responsibility to ensure that the Division is always ready to counter any situation.

With his intention of operation readiness, Kotoisuva has told his officers that with the new vehicles allocated to Police in addition to the ones they have, Kotoisuva wants police response time to improve and there can be no more excuses as to why they attend to any matter late.

He adds that police have the resources but they are still making that excuse and members of the public do not deserve that.

The Police Divisional Head said he will personally conduct monthly vehicle inspections.

The first vehicle inspection was intended for the West South West which saw stations like Navosa, Sigatoka, Nadi, Namaka, Border, Sabeto and Lautoka Police Station present their vehicles before the Division Police Commander.
