Good news for the senior citizens, people with disabilities and expecting mothers as they now have priority seats allocated for them in KR Latchan Buses.
This was announced by the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Rosy Akbar during the launch of the messages on positive parenting and National Child Helpline, 1325 at the 'Show You Care Initiative'.
Minister for Women says this initiative is simply communicating the messages to the public that they need to get back to those values that we held dear to our hearts which is caring for our senior citizens, disabled persons and protecting our women and children.
This initiative allows 20 buses operated by KR Latchan to feature these seats and display of information on child protection in between Suva, Nausori and the greater Rewa delta.
Chief Executive Officer KR Latchan's, Mr Rohit Latchan says they believe that contributing through such awareness rising through their buses will help to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
The priority seats are allocated in front of the buses and painted in color yellow.
