An agreement to have further co-operation in UN Peacekeeping between Fiji and Indonesia was made yesterday.
This agreement was made following an official bilateral meeting held between the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Indonesia, Retno Marsudi and the Foreign Affairs Minister of Fiji, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola in Nadi.
Marsudi welcomed the intention of Fiji’s Peacekeepers to participate in the peacekeeping training center in Indonesia.
The two Ministers also highlighted the need for both countries to look at potentials in the area of trade which has reached US$ 26.2 million.
An agreement to intensify investment and trade cooperation in the area of fisheries and agriculture processing and marketing cooperation of individual countries’ national products was also made.
