An accident in Newtown Nasinu earlier this morning has caused a power blackout in the larger Newtown area.
Energy Fiji Limited says that a truck drove into a electricity post in Balabala Cresent, Newtown causing damage to their lines which led to the outage.
They said that their electricians are at the site to fix the damage.
EFL also says that there is no time frame as to when the power will be restored.
