More than 200 people turned out at the One Love Family Fiesta at Sukuna Park last night to support the initiative of the Year 12 students of International School Suva to raise funds for the victims of Tropical Cyclone Pam in Tuvalu, Kiribati and Vanuatu.
Co-coordinator of the Fiesta Bex Nabouta said they hope to raise $30,000 to support the victims of Cyclone Pam.
Nabouta said this event would not have been a success without the support of the public.
She said the Year 12 students slept for a night at Mosquito Island without food on Wednesday and walked back to school yesterday as part of the fundraising drive.
They slept without shelter last night to get the real understanding on what it might be like for the cyclone victims.
