About 130,000 people from the provinces of Cakaudrove, Bua and Macuata are expected to benefit from a new Wellness Bus.
Minister for Health and Medical Services, Jone Usamate said the Wellness Bus is a mobile health clinic that will go to people and deliver the services near homes.
He added that the main objective is to screen all people from babies to adults and to give medicine or refer them for further checks.
Usamate stressed that the health of the people in Fiji depends largely on what they decide to do with their lives, what they decide to eat and drink and how physically active they choose to be.
All the services are built-in in this wellness bus which is funded by TISI Sangam, Sangam Nursing School of Labasa and the Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, there are four new confirmed cases of dengue fever in Northern Division as the total now stands at 72.
He stressed that mosquitoes breeding places should be destroyed.
Usamate added that there is a typhoid outbreak in Bua and this will not be solved by medicine but by good hygiene practises like washing hands and hygienic preparation of food.
There are 16 confirmed cases of typhoid in the Northern Division.
