About 1,200 students are expected to graduate from the technical colleges in Fiji in May this year.
Education Minister Dr. Mahendra Reddy says 2017 graduation ceremony will be organised in May in three divisions and the campuses are currently going through their final re-assessment.
He says according to the tentative details, about 400 students will graduate in the Western Division, 400 will graduate in the Central Division while another 400 students will graduate from the Northern Division.
Reddy says the graduates in 2017 have increased by 71% compared to 2016.
353 full time programme students have successfully graduated with National Qualification Certifications from the three Technical Colleges.
Meanwhile, Reddy says they are planning to have hostels made available in some campuses.
