Air Terminal Services has advertised 150 positions with a temporary term of three months.
Positions that have been advertised are for passenger assistance agent, kitchen cleaner, catering attendant, cook’s assistant and airline cook.
ATS Acting CEO Hare Mani says this is to ensure that they continue with their operations at the Nadi International Airport.
Mani says there is no intention to terminate contracts of workers that are currently locked out.
Mani says if the workers come back after signing the letter than they will be accepted but they cannot just sit back and do nothing.
According to Mani, around 250 workers are currently not at work.
He says that ATS has made its position very clear and any talks with these 250 workers will resume after Christmas.
We will be speaking to the ATS Employees Trust later today.
