ACS now open as an evacuation centre

Adi Cakobau School is now open as an evacuation centre to families needing emergency shelter.

The National Disaster Management Office confirms that a family is being housed at the school while seven families are sheltering at Vishnu Deo Primary School in Raiwaqa while three families are at the Nadera Methodist Church hall.

Meanwhile, people living in Vunidrovu settlement near Waimanu River are being evacuated to nearby schools as the Waimanu River is about to burst its banks near the area.
