A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of the Fiji group.
The Nadi Weather Office has confirmed that an active trough of low pressure with the associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the Fiji group.
It says that the system is expected to affect the group till later today.
The Weather Office adds that for the whole of the Fiji group, there will be periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms, easing to occasional rain from today.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding.
It says that a flood warning still remains in force for the low lying areas, small stream and areas downstream of Navolau Station to Nausori town.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Office says those living in flood prone low lying areas should remain alert given that rain is expected to continue until later tonight.
It says the heavy rain warning is coupled with flood warnings or alerts for pocket areas along major river systems in the Central and Western Division.
