A former lecturer in his 50s has been convicted of raping a boy by the Suva High Court.
The judge agreed with the assessors and found Peni Naisau guilty as charged.
Naisau committed this offence on the 12th of December in 2012 when the boy was seven-years-old.
The court was told that the man was the boy’s mother’s friend’s husband and the victim was playing at Naisau’s house when the incident happened.
The case has been adjourned to this Friday for sentencing submissions.
