An 8-year-old girl is currently in the Lautoka Hospital fighting for her life following an accident at Vatukarasa in Sigatoka yesterday
The little girl was walking along the road with an 18-year-old when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The 18-year-old is also still admitted for injuries at the Lautoka Hospital.
Police have confirmed that the driver of the vehicle has been taken into custody.
In a separate incident, an 11-year-old student of Waiyavu in Wainibuka is admitted at the CWM Hospital after being hit by a vehicle along Gaji Road at 9.30am last Saturday.
In one other incident yesterday, a truck driven by a 46-year-old man was involved in an accident with a Probox near Malolo, Nadi.
Police say the two passengers in the Probox were treated with minor injuries at Nadi Hospital, while the driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries.
