8 out of 30 women from the Vesivesi Women’s Centre in Kinoya have received their Courts and South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) financial booklet from the Minister for Women and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa.
South Pacific Business Development and Courts Fiji Ltd’s main objective is to promote women’s success in entrepreneurship.
South Pacific Business Development General Manager Elrico Munoz says that from year 2010 to date they have 464 women groups registered with them and they now have 6 branches around the country.
While speaking at the launch at Courts Samabula, Vuniwaqa says that her ministry fully supports South Pacific Business Development as they share the same mandate, that is assisting local women in becoming successful entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile Munoz says that the South Pacific Business Development only focuses on women because through women empowerment the whole family is empowered.
The Financial booklet will be distributed to all women’s centres around the country and this will allow them to get full knowledge of South Pacific Business Development services.
