Eight new companies were today given licences for the use of Fijian‑Made Crafted logo while 11 had their licences renewed.
Attorney General and Minister for Industry and Trade Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said this initiative has been beneficial to the companies who have registered as it promotes their products and creates employment opportunities.
Sayed-Khaiyum said the government has spent so much money into promoting Fijian made products as it benefits the companies and also the economy.
One of the companies that had their licence renewed was Punjas Fiji.
Manager Operations Suva, Nandu Naidu said the licence will help them boost their new biscuit product which they will be introducing at the end of this year.
193 companies currently have the Fijian made licences with 931 products with the Fijian‑Made Crafted logo.
