Six bus drivers and two taxi drivers had their driving licences suspended.
LTA spokesperson Iliesa Sokia said the eight Public Service Vehicle drivers have been suspended from driving for the next six months and have been classed as rude drivers.
This is after the LTA continues to receive complaints against rude drivers from members of the public.
LTA CEO Naisa Tuinaceva has warned that more bad drivers will be called in and more licences will be suspended or terminated if LTA continues to receive complaints from members of the public.
He said LTA expects them to behave appropriately at all times.
Apart from unprofessional behaviour towards customers, PSV drivers continue to face suspension due to violation of undue noise regulation on buses which is loud music, use of non-conforming lights and allowing people to sit on engine compartments.
Speeding and reckless driving, improper taxi operations and operating a vehicle against the Provisional License Policy were also amongst the grounds for suspensions.
Three more PSV drivers also received their final warning.
