748 confirmed dengue fever cases have been recorded so far which is an increase of 246 from April this year.
Assistant Minister Veena Bhatnagar said 563 dengue fever cases have been recorded in the Northern Division with majority of cases from the outbreak in the Macuata Province.
Bhatnagar said 127 cases are from the Central Division and 58 cases from the West.
She said in the past month, the national average was 19 confirmed cases per week where 12 to 25 cases were recorded in the North, while the Central Division recorded 3 to 11 cases.
