Seven people who are in custody at the Nabua Police Station will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today for their alleged involvement in the cultivation of marijuana.
This has been confirmed by Police Chief Operations Officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu.
Tudravu said four people who are in custody at the Vunisea Police Station in Kadavu will be escorted to Suva today and will appear in court later this week.
1,300 plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted in Kadavu up to last Friday.
Another raid was conducted in Rakiraki village, Kadavu yesterday where 220 plants were uprooted.
