66,048 voters are expected to cast their vote during the pre-polling period which begins tomorrow.
Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said most of this pre-polling areas are out in the islands and also in the highlands of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
Saneem said several teams will be tasked to carry out the pre-poll which will run for two weeks at 547 polling stations.
The Elections Office has sealed the first ballot box after receiving the first local postal votes in envelopes for the 2014 general elections yesterday.
The Supervisor of Elections said Police will guard the ballot boxes.
