There are 430 cases of Leptospirosis, 225 cases of Typhoid, 41 cases of Chikungunya and 34 cases of Zika have been recorded by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry is urging the public to take necessary precautionary and preventative health measures following the current rainy weather patterns that the country is facing.

Usamate says failure to do so can cause harm and even loss of lives.

He urges all to keep their surroundings clean and free of any such containers or receptacles.
