Six people are being questioned at the Nabua Police Station after they were found trading white substances believed to be Methamphetamine at Namadi Heights yesterday.
Police say a raid was conducted early morning and the police team was able to seize dried leaves believed to be marijuana and apparatus believed to be used in the manufacturing of illicit substances and case were seized.
Police say two women and three men were arrested and are being questioned.
In another raid a man is in police custody in Labasa after more than 700 sachets of dried leaves and seeds believed to be marijuana were found in his house.
Police officers kept a close eye on the suspect who is allegedly involved illegal trade.
Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho says that Fiji Police Force will get those who are involved in te illegal trade in Fiji.
Qiliho says that issue of drugs needs to be taken seriously and those who are consuming, manufacturing or dealing should think twice about their involvement.
He is calling on the communities to assist police in the war of drugs.
