Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says that the 6 police officers that were charged last month for serious crimes have been suspended and some are on half pay whilst they await the outcome of the court cases.
Qiliho says that if the officers are convicted they will be dismissed from the Force.
He says this shows they are transparent and do not condone dirty cops.
According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, three police officers were charged with aggravated robbery where it is alleged they robbed a person of $1,530 worth of goods and also assaulted the victim.
One police officer was charged with the theft of a mobile phone, another police officer was charged with assaulting his wife causing her actual bodily harm while another police officer was charged with careless driving.
