55yr old Wati shattered by younger sister's demise

55-year-old Kala Wati who lost half her family in a fire on Saturday says she regrets not having made that last phone call to her mother and sister on that day.

Wati who lives in Suva says she was shattered when she was told by her sister’s neighbors that her mother and sister kept crying out for help.

Wati’s 76-year-old mother, Ben Mati, 49-year-old sister, Surya Wati and her defacto partner, Salesh Chand lost their lives in a house fire in Navakai, Nadi.

The funeral for the two women will take place today in Navakai.

Police are currently investigating the case.
