55 people are currently taking shelter at Jokhan Primary School in Navua after their homes were affected by flood waters yesterday.
Police have confirmed that altogether there are 21 children and 34 adults.
Police say that all those taking shelter at the Jokhan Primary School are from Calia Settlement which is a flood prone area in Navua.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Office is working closely with the Fiji Police Force and the Divisional Commissioners to monitor the movement of people on the road and along small crossings.
