50 Fijian soldiers will assist in the Cyclone Pam rehabilitation work in Vanuatu.
RFMF’s Chief of Staff Land Force Lieutenant Colonel Alipate Vosaicake said the team going to Vanuatu includes 38 RFMF engineers and 12 medical personnel.
Vosaicake said the New Zealand government has provided 2 military planes to transport their gear to Vanuatu.
40 soldiers left this morning and another 10 will leave tomorrow.
They are expected to return to the country on the 6th of next month.
