Five people have died in two separate road accidents over the weekend.
Three people lost their lives after the vehicle they were travelling in went off road in Navo near Nadi yesterday.
Police say a child and two adults died while two others are admitted in hospital.
In the second incident, two people lost their lives and three others are still admitted in a serious condition at the Sigatoka Hospital after they were involved in an accident along the Queens Road in Korotogo on Saturday.
Fiji Police Force Traffic Director Mahesh Mishra said a private vehicle collided with another vehicle at about 7.30pm Saturday.
He said the driver of the vehicle and two other passengers are still admitted at the Sigatoka Hospital.
He added that the driver of the other private vehicle escaped serious injuries.
