The National Federation Party says that it will immediately implement a $5 living wage if they form the next government in 2018.
This has been confirmed by NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad during their Talanoa session at Rishikul Sanatan College Hall in Valelevu.
Prasad says the 9% VAT is being charged on the 7 basic food items.
However he says NFP will implement 0% VAT on 15 basic items which they will be announcing soon.
NFP says they are also looking at building a new sugar mill in Rakiraki, a coastal highway from Suva to Nausori, a 4 lane highway between Nadi and Lautoka and allocate $5 million dollars for Kidney Dialysis treatment.
