49 tourism projects implemented in Fiji in the last 5 years at a value of $446 million - Kumar

In the last 5 years, 49 tourism projects have been implemented in Fiji at the total value of $446 million dollars.

This was highlighted by the Minister for Tourism, Premila Kumar  while officially opening the $25 million Nalagi Hotel in Nadi.

Kumar says that the project will not only be beneficial for the tourism sector but also benefits Fijian businesses that supply to the hotel and employs around 64 Fijians.

The Minister says Nalagi Hotel is a testimony of the strong growing relationship between Fiji and China. 

Nalagi Hotel has 197 rooms and 301 beds.

She thanked the company directors for their investment in Fiji especially in their efforts in venturing into the tourism sector from their core business of textiles and real estate development.
