While sentencing the 45-year-old woman, Justice Temo told her that she is the girl’s biological mother and she breached the trust her daughter had in her.
Justice Temo says mothers are supposed to look after their daughters and counsel them to become good citizens of this country but she did the unthinkable.
Judge Temo told the mother that and I quote “You tread where even angels fear to tread” end quote.
He said that the woman should not complain as her liberty has been taken away to atone for her sins.
Justice Temo said that the woman had no regard for the rights of her daughter as a child and as a human being.
The matter was reported at Nakasi Police Station by the 14-year-old girl’s teacher.
The girl had told the teacher that her mother was raping her between 1st January to 5th July last year.
