4 new cases of dengue confirmed in North

Four new confirmed cases of dengue fever have been reported in the Northern Division bringing the total number to 72.

Health and Medical Services Minister Jone Usamate said people have to ensure that the mosquito breeding places are destroyed and dengue cases are well treated as early as possible.

He also added that there is typhoid outbreak in Bua and the problem will not be solved by medicine only but by good hygienic practises like washing hands and hygienic food preparation.

There are 16 confirmed cases of typhoid in the Northern Division.
