389 Police Officers will be deployed around the country for the General Elections.
Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald said 152 of these officers will be deployed to the Western Division, 118 will depart on Monday to the Northern Division while 119 will be deployed to the Eastern Division.
Groenewald said they will also have 155 officers that will be on standby.
These are the recruits that are currently undergoing training.
During his address to the officers, the Police Commissioner reiterated to them that they should remain apolitical.
He said these officers will remain around the divisions two days after the elections.
According to Groenewald the officers will be provided with allowances and accommodation.
He added that they have also received their elections budget.
