Thirty six families earning less than $15,000 are expected to benefit from the new Public Rental Board units by March next year.
According to one of the board directors of Public Rental Board Umarji Musa, the project is expected to take 40 weeks.
Musa said the Government has given a grant of $1.5 million towards the project.
Meanwhile, Acting Minister for Housing Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said there should be a transparent process for people who will occupy the flats.
The foundation laying ceremony was held in Uci Place, Kalabu, Nasinu, today.
