The Fiji Cancer Society has recorded 356 breast cancer cases last year.
Speaking at the Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea at Pure Fiji yesterday, the Fiji Cancer Society’s Manager Rajshri Baleisuva said that the disease is not only found in women but it has been also found in men.
Baleisuva said breast cancer is very rare in men and to date only about three men have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the past eight years.
Meanwhile, Baleisuva said the youngest female patient suffering from breast cancer in Fiji is only 19 years of age.
The society recorded 270 breast cancer patients in the year 2012 which is less compared to last year.
