35 people have been fined for tobacco control related offences in the past few days.
Tobacco Control Unit Acting Manager, Nafiz Ali says most of this offences are smoking in public places and selling of single rolls.
Ali says the spot fine for smoking in public places is $200 while the other offences are $1,000 each.
He says although their enforcement officers are out there, they also attend to complaints received from the general public.
