This year’s Fiji Fashion Week will include 34 designers across its three nightly shows.
This also includes eight children’s designers.
Managing Director Ellen Whippy-Knight says that they have a lot of new talent in the market.
She says Fiji Fashion Week is actively creating opportunities for Pacific designers and that is why they are launching the Pacific Islands Resort Show this year.
Knight says Fiji Fashion Week always attracts a mix of emerging and established designers.
The first ever Pacific Islands Resort Show will feature 12 designers from across the Pacific, 8 designers will show debut collections including a debut by Australia children’s wear label Jade Lloyd Jones.
Haus of Koila will open Fiji Fashion Week with their first ever FJFW Show.
Fiji’s most well-known designer Hupfeld Hoerder will close the Couture Show and Fiji Fashion Week 10th Anniversary while nine designers will present menswear.
The Fiji Fashion Week will be held from Monday the 22nd of May to Saturday the 27th of May at the Vodafone Arena.
