315 infringement notices have been issued Fiji wide for loud music played in buses with the highest recorded in the Central division.

186 of these notices were issued in the Central Division.

LTA Manager Enforcement Deo Reddy says that they continue to receive reports and if a driver disputes a case, they will have to challenge them in court.

He says the drivers will have to pay the infringement fine within 90 days.

LTA is also advising all bus drivers to follow the regulations as they have strengthened their operation by stationing LTA officers at busy zones from 7am to 3pm with the next shift from 3pm to 11pm on a daily basis.
