30 communities and schools in the Naitasiri and Cakaudrove Provinces will soon have proper water and sanitation systems.
This comes after Rotary Pacific Water For Life Foundation received a cheque of $35,000 from the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation to continue their work in providing safe drinking water and sanitation to rural areas in the country.
Foundation Executive Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation, Ambalika Kutty says they have witnessed the work of Rotary Pacific where they personally went to water commissions and saw the smiles of people who have struggled their entire life for drinking water, sanitation and hygiene.
Meanwhile, Executive Officer for Rotary Pacific Water For Life Foundation Neil Maharaj acknowledged Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation and other charity partners for their continuos support in their work to provide access to safe drinking waters and sanitation systems for those people who are not able to provide for themselves such as those that are living in rural areas.
