Villagers in Waisa, Natokalau and Naseseivua in Bua, Vanua Levu will now have access to safe and clean drinking water.
This was after Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama opened boreholes in the three villages.

Bainimarama says that these boreholes will cut down time spent in those communities finding and gathering water.

He adds that women and young people will no longer work hard to find a source of clean water.

Meanwhile, Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Faiyaz Koya added that these projects were part of the Mineral Resources Division’s program.
He says these communities have not had water and this is a basic necessity that they require.
The village headman of Waisa, Wasoroma Rosogau says fourteen houses will benefit from the project.

Rosogau says prior to this setup, they were drinking creek water.
The cost of the projects were about $100,000 which was funded by the government.
