600 female artisans will participate in the 2nd National Women’s Expo 2015 starting from next Wednesday.
The Ministry for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation has sponsored these women for their accommodation, meals and transportation.
Minster Rosy Akbar said the expo will not only provide the women with the opportunity to sell their products, network with potential buyers but also to acquire skills that will build their self-confidence and knowledge to become successful entrepreneurs.
Akbar said the Ministry has invited retailers, businesses and corporate organizations including the representatives from trade and tourism sectors and hoteliers to find potential marketing opportunities for these women.
She added 50 non-sponsored pot plants and food vendors will also participate at the expo.
The government has given $500,000 for the expo which starts from next Wednesday and will end next Friday.
