Investment Fiji has handed a total of $292,500 in Foreign Investment Registration Certification Fees to the Ministry of Economy.
These fees were collected from January to April this year.
In a statement, Chief Executive Officer Godo Mueller- Teut says a total of 117 Foreign Investment Registration Certification applications were received during this period.
He says wholesale and retail, tourism, manufacturing and agriculture sectors continued to attract large number of investors in the country.
Teut says the month of March recorded the highest number of Foreign Investment Registration Certification received by Investment Fiji.
In terms of the number of projects registered, a total of 37 registrations were received for the Services sector followed by Wholesale at 30, Tourism at 16, Agriculture and Forestry at 9 and Manufacturing at 7.
For the same period last year, Investment Fiji received a total of 132 Foreign Investment Registration Certification applications.
