A 25-year-old man who is charged with two counts of intent to case grievous harm, and one count of assault causing actual bodily harm has been remanded in custody.
He is alleged to have assaulted his wife, four year old daughter and three year old niece.
It is alleged that on the 11th of this month the man had an argument with his wife regarding the teachings being done to their niece and daughter.
The wife told him that the children are still young and whatever they teach them, they will follow.
The man got angry and it is alleged that he threw a cassava at his wife which hit her face, shoulder and arm and he also allegedly punched her on the neck.
It is alleged that on the 11th of this month, he slapped his three year old niece several times on her face and also hit her with a stick whilst putting her inside a 10kg sack.
He also allegedly hit the three year old girl with a kitchen knife wooden handle and mobile cable charger.
He is alleged to have also rubbed chillies on her mouth, told her to chew it and applied chillies on her backside.
The man allegedly hit his four year old daughter on her face and hit her back several times with a wooden broom handle.
He also allegedly rubbed chillies on her mouth.
The case has been adjourned to next Monday.
